Salhahuddin Everett is looking to make history by transitioning from the Ultimate Fighting Championship's staff to its official fighter roster. Currently working as a full-time runner for the UFC, Everett is scheduled to face Ozzy Martin on Week 9 of Dana White's Contender Series on Oct. 6, with an opportunity to secure a UFC contract.
Everett holds an undefeated 4-0 professional record, having finished every opponent in the first round, following a flawless 4-0 amateur career. Nicknamed "Bundy," Everett is aiming to become the first UFC employee to earn a fighter contract directly from the promotion.
According to an interview Everett gave to Spinnin' Backfist, his ambition to compete inside the Octagon nearly prevented him from working for the company in the first place. When he first applied for a UFC position in 2019, the director of security asked where he saw himself in five years. Everett stated that he wanted to be fighting for the UFC, which led to him being rejected on his initial attempt. Around a year and a half to two years later, he entered the company through a third-party security agency before eventually landing his role as a runner.
