UFC 333 Bonuses: Petr Yan, Merab Dvalishvili Earn $100K for 'FOTN'

The UFC handed out increased $100,000 post-fight bonuses to four competitors following UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi, according to Sherdog. Headlining the extra payouts were co-main event competitors Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili, who both secured "Fight of the Night" honors for their five-round clash.

Yan and Dvalishvili engaged in a 25-minute battle that saw "No Mercy" take the final three rounds to secure the victory and retain his championship. Despite falling short in his title bid, Dvalishvili walked away with the six-figure bonus check following the competitive back-and-forth encounter.

Main-event winner Alexander Volkanovski also collected a $100,000 performance bonus after handing Movsar Evloev the first defeat of his professional career. The featherweight titleholder damaged Evloev on the feet before finishing the fight with punches late in the second round, later indicating that he does not plan to retire following the win.

Flyweight Lone'er Kavanagh secured the final $100,000 bonus with a first-round stoppage of Ramazonbek Temirov. The English fighter earned a dominant TKO victory in under a round, pushing his professional record to 11-2.
