The Ultimate Fighting Championship's return to Los Angeles is officially set following the UFC 331 weigh-ins. The main event features a five-round flyweight championship rematch between reigning titleholder Joshua Van and former champion Alexandre Pantoja. Both fighters hit the championship weight limit without issue, each stepping on the scale at exactly 125 pounds. All other athletes on the 12-fight card also made weight, resulting in a drama-free morning on the scale.

The 24-year-old Van (17-2) captured the championship last year in just 26 seconds after Pantoja suffered an arm injury. Known as "The Fearless," Van has since solidified his place at the top of the division by knocking out Tatsuro Taira. Heading into the rematch, the champion looks to demonstrate that his initial victory was not a fluke.

For Pantoja (30-6), this marks his first bout since dropping the belt. Prior to his arm injury, "The Cannibal" had built an eight-fight winning streak. The Brazilian originally claimed the flyweight title from Brandon Moreno in 2023 and went on to defend it four times before the stoppage loss to Van.

UFC 331 will air in its entirety on Paramount+, with the main card scheduled to kick off at 9 p.m. PT.
