Tom Nolan is ready to clear any lingering doubts following his controversial victory over Renato Moicano. The pair headlined a UFC Fight Night event at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Oct. 31, where Nolan (12-1) earned a third-round finish over Moicano (21-8-1). However, the bout sparked widespread criticism after referee Dan Miragliotta ordered a controversial stand-up in the second round while Moicano had Nolan's back after dominating the grappling throughout the opening two frames.

Despite the backlash directed at the referee's intervention, the Australian fighter firmly believes Moicano would not have been able to sustain that grappling control for the full 25 minutes. Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Nolan addressed the situation and expressed complete openness to running the fight back.

“It's very unfortunate what happened,” Nolan told Helwani. “But we still had rounds three, four and five. There was no way he was gonna be able to do that for another three rounds. If he wanted it, in a heartbeat, I would give him that opportunity.”

Nolan added that having experienced Moicano's style inside the Octagon, a second meeting would likely end much sooner. “I honestly think it would probably go very similarly, but a lot earlier. Now that I've felt him, I think it'd be over pretty quickly. I don't want to disrespect him or be out here calling him out,” Nolan said.
