UFC employee Salhahuddin Everett has officially transitioned to the promotion's active roster following a decisive victory on Tuesday. Competing in Week 9 of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Everett capitalized on his opportunity to impress UFC brass.
Entering the bout with a perfect 4-0 professional record, Everett met fellow undefeated prospect Ozzy Martin. Nicknamed "Bundy," Everett brought a streak of four consecutive stoppage wins into the cage and quickly added another to his resume. He overwhelmed Martin with a relentless barrage of punches, earning a knockout victory just 1:57 into the first round.
Everett's journey to the roster began outside the Octagon. He initially joined the UFC through a third-party security agency before eventually taking on a role as a full-time runner for UFC CEO Dana White. After building his record on the regional circuit, his performance on Tuesday stamped his ticket to the big stage.
Following the win, Everett issued a warning to the rest of the UFC welterweight division during his post-fight interview. “Hey boss, I am ready to be in the UFC,” Everett said. “The whole division knows my name, Salhahuddin, and I am coming, and I am not afraid of nobody.
I am not backing down from no challenges. I am here for a reason, so Dana White’s Contender Series is just the first step of this journey.”
