Zuffa Boxing's biggest card to date is officially set after Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn both made weight for their welterweight title main event. According to a report from Sherdog, both fighters hit their marks without issue ahead of the 12-round headliner, putting to rest speculation that Benn might struggle to make the divisional limit. Garcia, the reigning World Boxing Council welterweight champion, officially weighed in at 145.5 pounds.
Garcia (25-2) enters the scheduled defense on the heels of a victory over Mario Barrios to claim the WBC title. That bounce-back win came after "King Ry" fell short in an attempt to dethrone Rolando Romero for the WBA belt last year. Benn (26-1) aims to pull off the upset in the title clash.
The British fighter's lone professional defeat came at the hands of Chris Eubank Jr. last year, but Benn avenged that loss in a rematch before defeating Regis Prograis in his most recent appearance.
All other fighters on the card also successfully made weight for the event, which will stream live on Paramount+. Among the supporting bouts, Zuffa cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia is set to defend his title against Noel Mikaelian after both competitors cleared the scales.
