Nearly 48 hours after his loss to Raul Rosas Jr. in the main event of UFC Vegas 121, Raoni Barcelos released a video from his hospital bed to reassure fans that he is in good health and undergoing standard medical examinations. The 39-year-old veteran saw his five-fight winning streak come to an end this past Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas after collapsing, which led to a technical knockout victory for Rosas Jr.

Barcelos had been ahead on the judges' scorecards and appeared roughly three minutes away from securing a decision victory prior to collapsing. Following an initial statement Monday morning stating he was doing great, Barcelos posted a follow-up video thanking supporters for their prayers and positive energy while explaining that the hospital stay was standard protocol.

"We move forward, on to the next one," Barcelos said in Portuguese. "I gave everything I had inside that cage. Like I said before, I was only leaving that cage if I was carried out, and that's exactly how it happened.

I wanted to become champion and leave with the victory, but God knows everything. I'll be back, and I'll come back stronger."
