The UFC returns to Canada on Saturday, Oct. 17, with UFC Edmonton taking place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. The 13-fight card features a seven-fight preliminary lineup starting at 5 p.m. ET on Paramount+, followed by a six-fight main card at 8 p.m.
In welterweight action, Canadian prospect Mike Malott meets No. 14-ranked Joaquin Buckley. Malott, who is just weeks shy of his 35th birthday, looks to build on his momentum after adding former title challenger Gilbert Burns to his resume in April. Having previously rebounded from a setback against Neil Magny, Malott faces another stern test against Buckley, who enters the contest determined to avoid a third consecutive loss.
The event also features a pivotal flyweight co-main event between Erin Blanchfield and Canada's Jasmine Jasudavicius. With the divisional title picture revolving around Valentina Shevchenko and a potential Silva-Shevchenko outcome, an emphatic performance from either contender could secure a future shot at the flyweight championship.
