Michel Pereira to Face In Su Hwang at ZFN 5 on Dec. 19

Former UFC competitor Michel Pereira has found his next fighting home following his departure from the promotion. The Brazilian veteran is scheduled to face In Su Hwang in a middleweight bout at Z - Fight Night 5 on Dec. 19 in Incheon, South Korea. The ZFN promotion is led by former UFC featherweight title challenger Chan Sung Jung, widely known as "The Korean Zombie."

Pereira (32-15, 2 NC) previously completed his UFC contract in February before returning on a one-fight deal to face Sharabutdin Magomedov at UFC Baku in June. After suffering a unanimous decision loss to Magomedov, Pereira officially entered free agency. The defeat was his fourth loss across his final five UFC bouts.

Hwang (9-2) enters the matchup seeking another major victory after an unsuccessful attempt to earn a UFC contract on Dana White's Contender Series last year. The South Korean fighter successfully rebounded from that setback in May, securing a third-round technical knockout victory.
