A featherweight clash between rising prospects Marwan Rahiki and Joo Sang Yoo has been added to the UFC's upcoming return to Australia. According to a report by Nolan King, the two fighters are targeted to square off at UFC Sydney on Feb. 7, 2027, at Afterpay Arena.
Rahiki (9-1) will look to rebound following the first defeat of his professional career, having dropped a unanimous decision to fellow featherweight prospect Tommy McMillen. Prior to that setback, the Moroccan competitor had compiled a spotless resume, earning all nine of his career victories by stoppage, including two finishes inside the Octagon.
Yoo (9-2) enters the contest seeking to snap a two-fight losing skid. The South Korean standout originally entered the UFC in 2025 with an undefeated record and made an explosive debut by knocking out his opponent in just 28 seconds. However, he has since suffered back-to-back defeats in his subsequent Octagon appearances.
UFC Sydney is scheduled to be headlined by a lightweight bout between Quillan Salkilld and Benoit St. Denis, with Robert Whittaker taking on Bogdan Guskov in the co-main event. The fight card is also slated to feature four "Road to UFC" tournament finals.
