The UFC 332 fight card in Salt Lake City has undergone a late change just days before the event. The UFC announced Wednesday that bantamweight contender Marcus McGhee (11-2) will now face promotional newcomer Anthony Romero (7-2, 1 NC) this Saturday. Romero steps into the matchup on just three days' notice after Bernardo Sopaj was forced to withdraw due to an injury. With the short notice turnaround, the bout has also been shifted from bantamweight to featherweight.

McGhee, known as "The Maniac," enters the contest looking to build momentum after rebounding from his first UFC defeat against Petr Yan. In his most recent outing this past June, McGhee secured a unanimous decision victory over John Yannis, bringing his octagon record to 5-1. According to MMA Fighting, McGhee is currently ranked No. 15 in their Global Bantamweight Rankings.

Romero makes his UFC debut after competing primarily for Los Angeles-based promotion Up Next Fighting. In his previous bout, Romero successfully defended his UNF bantamweight championship by scoring a first-round knockout victory against Yuma Horiuchi. UFC 332 is scheduled to be headlined by a vacant women's flyweight championship matchup between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong.
