Justin Gaethje to Compete in Barstool Internet Invitational Golf Tournament

UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje is heading back to the golf course. On Wednesday, the reigning titleholder was officially announced as a participant in Barstool Sports' upcoming Internet Invitational tournament, which begins Oct. 26 at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Mo.

The tournament roster features 64 total participants, primarily made up of professional golfers and influencers, along with select athletes from other sports. While the full roster is still being finalized and Gaethje's playing partners have not yet been disclosed, returning champions Brad Dalke and Francis Ellis are slated to compete. The duo won the 2025 tournament alongside Cody Franke, who passed away before that series aired.

Gaethje has regularly shared his passion for the sport, posting multiple golf videos on his YouTube channel and entering various events, including a tournament organized by octagon rival Max Holloway. Gaethje is not expected to defend his lightweight championship until sometime in 2027, leaving time on his schedule while potential contenders—including Holloway and former opponent Ilia Topuria—await his eventual return.
