Julian Erosa capped off his Octagon career with a dramatic finish, knocking out Jeong Yeong Lee in just 91 seconds at UFC Vegas 123. After recovering from an early knockdown, the 37-year-old veteran dropped Lee with a right hand and finished the bout with follow-up punches at the 1:31 mark of the first round.

Following the victory, Erosa confirmed his retirement from mixed martial arts, calling the result an ideal conclusion to his time in the cage. Erosa noted that his decision to retire was predetermined well before stepping into the Octagon, regardless of whether he won or lost.

“It's the fairytale ending to my career,” Erosa said. “In my mind, I was battling the things about, like, if I lose, how am I gonna feel about that walking away? But that's why I had to be content with the decision of this being my retirement way beforehand, before I even got a fight.”

Erosa explained that settling his retirement plans early allowed him to concentrate on the matchup itself rather than letting the stakes distract him. “I wanted to make the fight about retirement, but I wanted the fight to be like any other fight,” he said.
