Joaquin Buckley is looking to reset after suffering his third consecutive defeat in the Octagon. Competing at UFC Edmonton on Saturday, Buckley faced Canadian native Mike Malott. The contest came to an end in the second round when Malott landed a knee and followed with a punch, prompting the referee to halt the bout.

The defeat extends a difficult stretch for "New Mansa," who had previously put together a six-fight winning streak before entering his current skid. Despite the setback, Buckley remains undeterred and optimistic about his future, announcing plans to livestream his training and invite supporters into the process as he works his way back.

"Right now, we rebuilding and I want y’all to see the process, not just the results," Buckley wrote in an Instagram post following the loss. "The highs, the lows, and everything it takes to become who God called me to be."

In an accompanying video, Buckley reiterated his desire to share every step of his comeback alongside his team. "I realize that I want to document everything," Buckley said. "I want to document the process, I want to document the work, I want to document the team.

This is really just starting back over from scratch; creating a new foundation and making something happen… I’m not going to stop; I’m going to keep working. And I’ll make sure that everybody remembers that name."
