UFC flyweight Jasmine Jasudavicius revealed she was hit with a five-figure fine following her victory at UFC Winnipeg this past April after athletic commission officials accused her of having chewing tobacco in her mouth during the fight.

Speaking to Full Send MMA ahead of her co-main event bout against Erin Blanchfield at UFC Edmonton, Jasudavicius addressed the incident from her clash with Karine Silva. Cameras appeared to capture something in her mouth during the bout, leading officials to believe she had "dip" (chewing tobacco). Jasudavicius strongly denied the claim, insisting it was simply peppermint gum.

According to Jasudavicius, the commission was unconvinced and refused her request to retrieve and inspect the gum from the canvas as evidence. Although she secured her show and win money with the victory over Silva, she was still forced to pay the $10,000 penalty.

Heading into Saturday's high-stakes bout against Blanchfield, the Ontario native has removed the issue entirely from her fight-night routine, confirming, "I’ve stopped chewing gum now."
