Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather revisited his historic crossover bout with UFC star Conor McGregor during an appearance on the PBD Podcast, claiming the former two-division champion built much of his persona by copying his blueprint.

"You mean the guy that took my whole swag and took it over there to the UFC?" Mayweather said on the podcast, as reported by MMA Fighting. Mayweather argued that McGregor's career expanded to new heights after facing him, highlighting the immense financial shift. Disclosed purses for their bout saw Mayweather make $100 million and McGregor earn $30 million—a substantial rise compared to McGregor's prior disclosed high of $3 million for his 2016 rematch with Nate Diaz.

Their blockbuster matchup was preceded by a multi-city press tour and produced massive box office figures. Inside the ring, McGregor won a few early rounds before Mayweather closed out the bout via 10th-round technical knockout, ending his professional career with a 50-0 record.

Addressing the pre-fight trash talk, Mayweather maintained that words do not determine outcomes and left the door open for another meeting. "What I was saying is talking doesn’t win fights," Mayweather said. "He can do all that he wants, I know that when you get in there with Floyd Mayweather, I’m the truth.

So this whole arena could be filled with Conor McGregor fans, but they can’t fight for you. Actually, I think me and Conor McGregor may lock up again."
