Elves Brener is set to make his return to the Octagon this Saturday at UFC Vegas 121 against Josiah Harrell. Brener enters the matchup looking for a decisive finish, noting Harrell's first career loss in February when he was stopped in the first round via knockout by Jacobe Smith at welterweight. The upcoming clash also marks Harrell's first lightweight bout in nearly four years.

Speaking to MMA Fighting, the Chute Boxe fighter made it clear he expects a high-paced brawl and is confident in his ability to end the contest early. Brener claimed he has the "touch of death" and stated he intends to either knock out or submit Harrell. The bout marks Brener's first cage appearance following a 13-month layoff, a period he used to rest both physically and mentally after difficult losses while making significant technical improvements to his game.

Brener also emphasized the difference in their respective approaches to the lightweight weight limit. Reflecting on past difficult weight cuts, including his fight against Myktybek Orolbai, Brener revealed he controlled his weight far better this time, walking around at 178 pounds five weeks out from the fight after previously reaching as high as 205 pounds between bouts. Consequently, Brener expects Harrell to face a grueling physical struggle cutting down from 170 to 155 pounds.
