UFC CEO Dana White has strongly rejected claims made by former two-division champion Alex Pereira regarding promotional manipulation. Earlier in the week, Pereira criticized an upcoming heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit, alleging that the UFC directed "influencers" like Daniel Cormier to steer fan support in favor of the matchup. After Cormier denied the accusations on Tuesday, White echoed the sentiment following the season finale of Contender Series Season 10.

"Of course that’s not true," White said. "These guys are the most paranoid people on the planet. Like we’re telling DC — I’ve never told DC to do anything, ever.

We don’t operate like that." Pereira's complaints stem in part from his ongoing rivalry with Gane, who defeated "Poatan" for the interim heavyweight title at UFC White House. Pereira has campaigned for a rematch since that bout, alleging that Gane landed illegal blows during their encounter.

Addressing the situation alongside recent grievances voiced by UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland, White maintained that such disputes are a standard reality in combat sports. "We have over 700 guys on contract, and we’ve talked about two of them being sideways right now," White stated. "I’ve never told Rogan or DC or any of these guys to say anything about anybody.

I don’t tell the fighters what to say, I don’t tell the commentators what to say. If we did, Sean Strickland would’ve been gone three f*cking years ago, and we wouldn’t even be having this conversation."
