Damian Pinas and undefeated prospect Baisangur Susurkaev are reportedly set to collide at UFC 335 on Dec. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, according to a report from Sherdog.
The reported matchup brings an online feud into the Octagon. The rivalry began when Susurkaev claimed he did not know who Pinas was. Pinas subsequently called out Susurkaev following his victory over Cesar Almeida in July and reiterated his criticisms after securing a finish against Andrey Pulyaev in October.
Both fighters enter the matchup with unblemished stoppage records inside the promotion. Pinas (11-1), known as "The Baba Yaga," earned his UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series last year and has finished all three of his UFC bouts in the first round. Every victory in his professional career has come by stoppage, with his lone career defeat resulting from a disqualification due to an illegal kick on the Brazilian regional circuit.
Susurkaev (12-0), a training partner of Khamzat Chimaev, has also stopped all three of his opponents since joining the UFC. The undefeated Chechen fighter has seen the judges' scorecards just once across his 12 career victories. Susurkaev was originally scheduled to face Donte Johnson at UFC 334 in November before withdrawing for undisclosed reasons.
