Brendan Allen (28-7) secured a fifth-round submission victory over Christian Leroy Duncan (15-3) in the UFC Vegas 122 main event on Saturday at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, pushing his winning streak to four. Following the stoppage, rising middleweight prospect Damian Pinas reacted on X by writing, "Lets go Allen."
The post prompted a reaction from a fan who questioned Pinas for allegedly calling out someone higher in the rankings prematurely. Pinas quickly corrected the misinterpretation, responding, "It was a support not a call out."
According to Sherdog, Pinas (11-1) later floated a potential matchup against Allen in 2027. Nicknamed "The Baba Yaga," Pinas has registered three straight first-round knockout victories in the UFC since earning a contract on Dana White's Contender Series. In a subsequent post, Pinas praised Allen's performance against Duncan while noting he spotted vulnerabilities. "I was impressed by Allen nice performance But don’t get it twisted i still see the hole to victory," Pinas wrote.
