Dakota Ditcheva Cleared After Hand Surgery, Targets Title Shot vs. Jena Bishop

Undefeated PFL star Dakota Ditcheva has been cleared to resume training following bilateral hand surgery and is targeting a flyweight championship rematch with Jena Bishop.

Undefeated British standout Dakota Ditcheva (16-0) is ready to return to competition after being medically cleared following surgery on both hands. Ditcheva suffered the broken hands during her unanimous decision victory over Denise Kielholtz, forcing her into a temporary layoff.

During Ditcheva's time away, Jena Bishop defeated Liz Carmouche at PFL Chicago to capture the inaugural Professional Fighters League women’s flyweight world championship. Ditcheva is now setting her sights on a rematch for the title. The two previously met in 2024, where Ditcheva defeated Bishop via first-round technical knockout—one of 13 finishes in her 16 career victories.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Ditcheva noted that her recovery progressed rapidly compared to a previous hand injury sustained against Sumiko Inaba last year. "I'm good, I'm all clear," Ditcheva said. "I'm back at training now, so yeah, I'm ready to go.

I'm just waiting for a date for the belt. I've been grappling for a few weeks now. I just kind of took my time a little bit with the striking.

I haven't got a fight coming up, so I thought, let me just focus on the grappling; now Jena’s the person with the belt. I healed so quickly this time… It was like nine weeks since surgery, which is really quick."
