The UFC announced on Saturday that Charles Oliveira will put his "BMF" title on the line against Diego Lopes in the main event of UFC 335. The pay-per-view card takes place on Dec. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Oliveira, a former UFC lightweight champion, secured his second promotional title back in March at UFC 326, where he dominated Max Holloway to claim the BMF belt. Despite previous rumors of a quicker return, the Brazilian veteran is now scheduled to make the first defense of that title.

Lopes will be making his official lightweight debut against one of the most accomplished competitors in UFC history. A two-time title challenger at 145 pounds, Lopes had teased a division change for some time and now receives an immediate opportunity to capture the BMF crown.

In the UFC 335 co-main event, Alex Pereira is set to make his second appearance at heavyweight when he faces Sergei Pavlovich. The event also features a bout between rivals Bo Nickal and Joe Pyfer.
