Bilal Hasan vs. Luis Gurule Set for UFC 334 at Madison Square Garden

Undefeated prospect Bilal Hasan will make his next Octagon appearance against Luis Gurule at UFC 334. The event is scheduled to take place on Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

MMA Fighting first reported the matchup via sources with knowledge of the booking. A main event for the card has yet to be announced.

Hasan (10-0) has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting additions from the latest season of Dana White’s Contender Series. The 25-year-old earned his UFC contract on Aug. 3 with a 45-second knockout victory over Mridul Saikia. He made a rapid turnaround just 18 days later for his official promotional debut, where he secured another stoppage with a second-round knockout.

Gurule (11-4) enters the bout looking to reverse momentum amidst a 1-4 slump. Nicknamed "Grim," Gurule most recently stepped into the cage in May at UFC Macau, where he was submitted inside the opening round by Rei Tsuruya. That contest was Gurule’s second fight in a two-week span, coming off a unanimous decision win over Daniel Barez, which stands as his lone victory in the UFC.
