Real American Freestyle announced Tuesday that Anthony Pettis will challenge Arman Tsarukyan for the RAF middleweight crossover title in the main event of RAF 15. The event is scheduled to take place on Nov. 28 at the NOW Arena in Chicago.
Pettis was initially slated to make his promotional debut against Donald Cerrone, but he will now compete for the belt instead. Following the shift in matchups, Cerrone is out of the RAF 15 lineup entirely.
Tsarukyan claimed the vacant RAF crossover middleweight championship this past weekend at RAF 14 in Las Vegas, defeating Dillon Danis via technical fall. According to a report by MMA Fighting, Tsarukyan is still scheduled to wrestle Neiman Gracie in a non-title contest at RAF Abu Dhabi on Nov. 14 before heading to Chicago.
Pettis has never previously competed in freestyle wrestling. His last combat sports appearance came in 2024, when he dropped a unanimous decision against Chris Avila in a boxing bout.
